01The challenge
The Namakwa Civic Movement is a political party in the Northern Cape. Members, leaders, events, campaigns and election data were kept in lists and spreadsheets.
Leaders needed to see their members, plan their visits and follow the numbers before an election. Members needed one place for news and their membership.
02What we built
-
02.1
Member app
iOS and Android. A digital membership card that works offline, news, events, polls, documents and complaints. Leaders get their own dashboard.
-
02.2
Party website
The public site, where people read the news, learn about the party and become a member online.
-
Leader tools
Leaders see their members and supporters, log door-to-door visits, take meeting notes and send messages.
-
Election day
Check-ins at voting stations, live results, and a voter registration check.
-
Election data
Official results down to the ward and voting station, so the party can see where it is strong and where it must work.
-
Admin and reports
Membership applications, payments, councillor nominations, SMS and push messages, all in one admin.
03 — AINamaBot
NamaBot is an AI assistant for the party's leaders. They ask it questions in plain words, like "How many members do we have in Springbok?" or "What can we expect in ward 4?". It reads the party's own data, looks at past results, forecasts the next election, and can send a report or a spreadsheet by email. When it cannot do something, it saves the request, and the team gets a weekly report of these requests.
04The result
The party runs on one system now. Leaders have their numbers on their phone, members carry their card in their pocket, and the team plans the next election with real data.
